Why should you attend?
Hospitals in selected Core Based Statistical Areas will have a lot of preparation to do. They will have to learn how to succeed in episodes of care models, which takes specific knowledge and experience. And where there is meaningful downside risk and no way out of participating, they will be looking for support.
Clinicians experienced in care transitions, mobility programs, discharge planning, acute care, post-acute care, home-based care, and much more who also understand the levers of success in the program can be valuable resources to their employers, identify partnership opportunities between their own business and the hospitals, look for or create roles in companies developing vendor support solutions, among other things.
Besides that, healthcare professionals should develop a working knowledge of episodic payment models. They aren’t going anywhere. I firmly believe those who understand alternative payment models will have more opportunities and career options than those who don’t.
